I Love You??!!

Jus' a while back i received a popular sms forward, which goes like :-

"An amazing question...
Why do the words "I Love You" need an answer even though we know it's not question?? "

Before delving into this obsolete, futile and inept discussion,I would like to clear it to every reader that i DO NOT patronize stupid forwards to clutter my phone's message inbox and disapprove discussing them. However, this particular message has got under my skin.

If i am not wrong, the words "I Love You" has been coined quite recently in the history of our civilization. Now, i have an even more amazing question..How did people say "I Love You" before the famous phrase was coined? Did they not express love then?? That would be quite unimaginable, considering the importance of expressions for our race. Anyhow, the three word phrase can be said to be comparable to Peacock's dance and the Bowerbird's complex nest structures to impress the ladies, only thing that saying it out, is much, much easier. The human race has always managed to find out the easiest way to get things done.Hence, the words "I Love You", which truly may be as hollow as a bone, is still excused to be an "expression".

Now coming back to the question thrust upon by the SMS, the three words are responsible for a long-list of popular and hugely successful music, movies and books. An unimaginable amount of commercialization and accountability is associated with the phrase, whenever and wherever quoted. No wonder, it is assumed to be a question rather than, well, a statement. :) ;)
